Neighborhood Disaster Volunteers Foundation
|Mission of Organization|
Neighborhood Disaster Foundation was established in 2007 by a group of initiators from universities, business world, NGOs, media, and official institutions with the need for the existence of a national level organization to provide support for sustaining the NDV system, while improving its quality and for strengthening the volunteer base, directly or through other NGOs.
The mission of the MAG Foundation is to enable citizens to protect themselves, their family and their neighbors from disaster by: promoting risk awareness; supporting the development of community-based capacity for disaster preparedness and response; and, fostering cooperation between neighborhood groups, government agencies and the broader public in the interest of integrated disaster risk management.
|Impact of the Organization|
The primary purpose of the NDV Foundation is to improve risk mitigation, preparation, response & recovery capacities of neighborhoods against disasters.
